They must match, exactly, right down to the smallest detail.
You will find rebuilders who sell carburetors as remanufactured, stay away from these. They take carburetors from the same group and throw all the parts in one pile, they use that pile to make similar type carburetors. They will look alike, but the internals could be anything. There were a lot of carburetors made with different metering and sizes of openings and port. That was for a reason and for specific engines. Once you start mixing parts, all bets are off on whether it will run right or not.
Your best bet is to by cores and rebuild them yourself.
