Always leave something out.
Cables are size 00, and have cleaned the battery and starter ends.
Also When ever I hook up 12 volts to start I always connect to ground cable from motor.
Might as well go ahead and add that the battery is grounded to the frame in the motor compartment and the motor flywheel cover/clutch section is grounded to the same point on the frame.
