Does anyone have experience or has anyone converted a 47-55 1st from a three window to a 5 window. I have heard of people cutting the cab top off a 5 window at the belt line, below the window, and the A pillars in front and do the same to the 3 window and then weld back together. I have also seen an inner cab replacement panel for the upper rear of a 5 window. Could that replace the stock one in a 3 window and then be welded into place and then just cut the window holes out?

I know trading complete cabs is another option.

What else has been done to convert a 3 window to a five window?
