My '38 had (still has on the back) single action lever action shocks. I would experience a horrible bounce that felt like a death wobble behind the wheel at certain speeds and on certain bumps. It happened at 60 once and took me clear off the road. The shocks had been professionally rebuilt & still did it. I converted the front to tube shocks, problem solved.
