Question regarding interchange of front sheetmetal on the '49-'53 GMC 1/2-ton thru 1-ton pick-ups...

Are the grilles, hoods, hoodlatch pans the same fit (Not worried about chrome vs. paint).

I have a '49 GMC pick-up with a pretty rusty and bent-up chrome grille, and I've recently been given a decent grille, hood. and related miscellany from a '53 GMC...were there any grille changes between '49 & '53 ?
