I just went out and looked at my 51 the lens lines are perfectly vertical and horizontal. I don't know if the buckets are left and right, I don't think so. The fenders are made to GM specs so I would suspect the buckets. To finish my reply, yes that would produce big adjustment issues and the high low beam would not work correctly.
