Won't the gasket Billy needs, manifold gasket to head, be same as other 235s? Not hard to get.

You might be correct.
However, the GMC COE 270 exhaust manifold gasket/gaskets are different from the gasket/gaskets used on the standard GMC 270 exhaust manifold: the gasket/gaskets between the "heater box" between the intake manifold and the exhaust-manifold
