The reason I asked was some exhaust manifolds don't use gaskets to allow the manifold to heat and cool at the same rate as the block. I was curious if the inline 6's were that way and that engine looked "untouched".
My 322 V8 doesn't have gaskets and I'm told if used the manifolds will crack. The bad thing for the inexperenced builder is that the gasket kits provide then even though they where never installed with them from the factory...
