tyou can spray the laquer, ans piewagn is correct, however, have you at least considered acrylic enamel? with hardeners the new enamels are very easy to work with, have excellant curing time, and you can get a high gloss without the buffing that's necessary for straight laquer.
the cure time with acrylic isn't near as fast as with laquer, but it don't take days before ya can work with it either like the old stuff. oh yeah, the cost is reasonable too. (nothing is cheap anymore).
