I have a 1954 Chevy Truck 3100 1/2 ton with a saginaw 4 speed. There will be times when I'm downshifting from 4th to 3rd and it wont want to go into gear until I've slowed down quite a bit(unless I double clutch which I've only been able to do once - can't seem to get it down). Anyway, could this possible be something as simple as just adding more transmission fluid which I will check again this weekend or is it something more serious e.g. synchros?

Does everyone suggest 90w transmission fluid?

Thanks for the time
