I've heard both gas and kerosene work for the tape but not for the urethane. I ended up beating the window out and using a utility knife down the sides. I then used a small chisel ( or screwed driver) to pull it the rest of the way out. Frame need to be repainted after that process. Took about 2 hours to get it out. If anyone has a better way I would love to hear it in case I ever have to change another window.
