Tim, I've always enjoyed your views on paint codes and color, perhaps the cause is that it makes so much sense. The engines and vehicles were assembled in different locations, ergo, paint batches may or may not have been spot on from location to location. I don't think anyone of that time could have predicted the passion we have for these vehicles today.
