As long as you don't exceed 5,000 RPM at the drag strip, you can get by with adjusting the float level (not float drop) 1/8" more than what the spec sheet calls for. This should give you the extra space for fuel expansion after shutdown. If that doesn't solve your problem, you have other issues in the carburetor, in that the extra fuel may be leaking internally, or taking a wrong route due to blockage.
