After a year of deliberation on what if any aftermarket wheels I would use on my 1 ton SRW flatbed, finaly I think I am getting close to a solution. I went out on a limb and ordered a single black rock 17"X 8" wheel from Jegs

Offset: -25mm

So, they mount up and have decent clearance from the tie rod, about an inch +/- (i have not measured yet). Next I will pick up an old tire and get it mounted so I can see how it will sit with weight on the tire and what kind of issues if any I might have in the wheel well area from the wider tire.

As a little sportier option to the 17" split rims or trailer wheels. What are your thought? Can you think of any issues I might be missing?

Next question, what size tire should I run on it?
