there are two plates at the top of the fender screwed to the cab that have the seal around 3 sides. The 47 and 48 with floor hand brake has a longer inner fender on the left side and use a D shaped plate there, 48 up with a foot parking brake has a Upside Down L shaped plate
I loaded another picture in that link above that shows the seals better Yellow arrows are seals and blue is the gasket
