It's best to get an adjustable one. The one I had had a prod that went into the rad. core right below the top hose. You run the engine with the rad. covered till it warms up to the temp you want to come on & turn the knob till it comes on. It will go off at a temp. a little lower then that.
A 180 therm was standard on that model & works better then the 195.
