I recently rebuilt my 216 on my 40 chevy half ton pick up .. So i took i for a test drive and im getting a screching noise from what sound like the clucth rubbing .. I tried ajusting the clucth and no luck the noise still there heres the scenerio .. Im idleing no noise as i put into first no noise shifts into first good accelerate cant tell if noise is there but as soon as i let off gas pedal it sounds like something rubbing or scrapping i pop in the clucth and the noise goes away .. Same in all gears including reverse .. I havent rebuilt trans but seems like trans is good since goes into gear ok . In another chat some mentioned the pilot bushing causing noise and recomended a pilot bearing has any one experienced this issue .. And i have a new throw out bearing dont think thats it .. I did use a pilot bushing and seems everyone i ask also used a pilot bushing | | |
