just gotta be careful!
if you're careful, a razor blade can work to straighten up, but you can also score the metal right where it'll cause the worst rust in the future - try using a small dull screwdriver blade to work the tape over the edge of the rubber and underneath - leaving a paint strip on the rubber looks as bad as leaving an unpainted strip next to it! worst part taping is around the corners, the straight sides aren't toooo hard w/ patience
