I read some where that a Jeep Wrangler, front half metal door upper latch from a 1997-2006, will work for the door latch for 47-54 chevy. I under stand that you can make the handle and the lock work. Also I don't think a lot of cutting is involved. Has anyone try this? It looks like it would work and is cheaper than Altman, about $75 a side new and about $45 used.
