Not sure if this fits with this thread, but here goes-
I'm using a 292 replacement exhaust manifold on a 194. There's no provision for a heat riser so the exhaust routes right onto the bottom of the stock 194 intake manifold. Haven't got too many miles on this rebuild yet, but it seems like it might be working out. Anybody have any experience or ideas on this issue? Langdon's heat plate for intake manifold info says you need "moderate" heat transfer to the intake! This set-up would be a bit more than "moderate."
