My 63 c10 had fuel starvation problems, Upon pulling the fuel tank sending unit, I see the fine screen intake filter clogged with very very fine fine particulates.
That looks to be the culprit.
However, it made me wonder, with this lower intake filter, is an upper inline filter doing much? I mean, it would have to be a very very fine particle to pass thru and make it up to my simple old one barrel carb.
Really, I think that carb will never be affected by anything the intake filter passes on.
I don't like add on filters, they never look original and on this motor, placement - with original fuel line configuration- isn't that simple.
Opinions?
