For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 18 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 18 | I have a 1966 C-50 LCF with a 4 speed- 2 speed transmission-rear end. I'm in need of a shifter cable, the shifter button cable that goes from the gear shift to the vacuum valve that is mounted to the frame just in front of the brake vacuum booster. The vacuum valve is a Bendix. There is no part number that is on the valve. The shifter cable was cut off about 12 inches away from the valve. So I don't know if the 2 speed rear-end is (was) electric-vacuum. As close as I can measure the cable from the valve to the top of the gear shift is approx. 55" long. Where can I find a NOS cable? Where can I find information to be able to fix this???
