| Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,755 | Since the H-M flywheels are so scarce and expensive, I wonder if anyone has tried machining the teeth off and installing a shrink-fit gear from a standard shift flywheel? It should be a fairly simple operation for somebody with a big lathe. I'll bet a brake drum lathe would work if some careful measuring was done. Jerry
