I'm new to this forum, so introducing myself and my long time project. I own a '53 Chevy 3100 five window pickup, I nicknamed "Spruce Moose" when my kids were young. I bought it as third owner (father to son to me), way back in 1983 and used it for a daily driver when stationed in California. I got into rebuilding it a few times now at different duty stations, was close to finishing it, then major deployments followed by long separation and eventually divorce. "X" got half of everything (plus house), but I get to keep my ol'truck - just need to get it from (now her) home in Georgia and bring pieces down to New Orleans area where I now live. I know I will have a lot of questions and am part of similar forums for my old Harleys, I found VERY useful. I love to wrench and make something "mine." This truck has special meaning for me since it is like what my Grandfather had on farm when I was a kid. Thank you for accepting me; I am very impressed with this site. I'm not an "Expert" but have a lot of experience to contribute too.
