If your gear box is adjusted correctly, you will have a tight spot dead center. The wheel should pull off with a steering wheel puller, you may need special bolts to fit the wheel, but nothing to weird. My '37 uses 10-32 threaded screws, which is very small, but it works ok. I had to make the center piece of the puller since it's so small, yours should be pretty normal.
If you get to the point of being dead centered and still don't have a small amount of drag across center, read the following manual and adjust the gear box if you haven't done so already.
