Should have mentioned the aprons have already been painted so a spot weld is not an option. How good do y'all feel about JBWeld in this case?
If I recall when I took my rear fenders off, the tab spot weld wouldn't have been visible, but I may be wrong. If it were me, I would fab up a longer tab and use the panel adhesive that Caso recommended and give it more to attach to.
