I measured the gap and had a machine shop shave a few thousands off the top and bottom halves. You can mic the axle and figure the wear. I suppose if the axle was really bad you could build it up with weld. Grind etc back to the oem size. The wear is not equal around axle so my fix worked well for me. There are no gaskets.
