Makes sense Jim, when I rebuilt mine, using the pins from Chevys of the 40s, I stepped up all the holes, rather than using only a few, probably used about 5 drills to get the size. Most of the bits were new, carbide I think, also used a cutting fluid (Re-lion) and drilled very slowly. They came out tight, and noticed the top hinges with the new hold open springs and very tight to open, they almost have to be put back into the hinge pocket in order to move back and forth. Mr Mahoney, did you use a drill press or hand drill, and any kind of drill guide to make sure the drill bit was going in perpendicular?
