In Alberta, the law only requires a single plate on the rear. About 20 years ago the government changed it from 2 to 1. I sure like the look of vehicles without plates on the front.
I hope they never change it! It really is crazy on these old vehicles where people would drill holes to mount plates. Yeesh.
