Hy jetmech6868, the short answer is yes, but the one ton may be an open driveline type while the half ton will be a closed driveline type. Parts can be swapped between the two transmissions to configure it to what you require, if both transmissions are closed driveline type then they might be a direct swap. The only issue then might be the universal joint size but you should be able to swap output yokes, hope that helps.
