Classic Finn: I had mine done at a local chrome shop. It cost me around $550 to get it straightened and chromed. They did a great job. This was an old time chrome shop, they have been around a long time. The first two places I talked to wouldn't do the job I wanted. Apparently they didn't have anyone skilled enough to get out the dents and straighten it up.
Anyway your best bet is to try and find a used one. The after market repros are JUNK. A friend of mine found one on Ebay for $200, which was a good deal. You can expect to pay 75 to 100 bucks for the upper piece and 100 to 200 for the lower if they are in good condition.
Check out the swap meet I've seen them there. You might post an ad in the wanted section also. There are some good used ones still around, It will just take some looking.
Good Luck
