Idaho, IIRC roll the door glass all the way down and be sure its as far back as possible. The vent should then drop in, you may have to turn it to clear the top of the door . The factory manual should have instructions, can't find mine right now but its available online. Hope this helps some, its one of those jobs thats easier to do than explain! John
