Actually I was thinking of having mine powdercoated with a black textured or gray hammered finish. At this point I havn't decided on a color for my truck but black goes with a lot of body colors. The quote I got to do the running boards, bed strips between wood, grill, and bumpers was under $300.00. But I had to choose the same color for that price. The grill still looks ok but is a dull chrome. I suppose it could be polished. Anyway.... the black textured looked tough and would help hide imperfections which I have many of in my running boards. Soooo... regardless I think that I'm going to powder coat at least the bed strips and running boards the black texture.
