I have a 1950 3100 With a 3 speed. I bought a u/joint from the Filling Station (fs-101) the replacement joint has needle bearings where as the original just used bushings. I didnt see a problem with the needle bearings so I went ahead and tried to install it. The problem I'm having is the caps that bolt to the yoke on the transmission will not seat all the way into the yoke. The bearing caps aren't machined like the originals. Has anyone else run into a problem like this when replacing their u/joint?
