I definitely appreciate the words of wisdom. I will definitely be driving the truck (soon I hope) and will base my decision off of that. That's kind of why I'm starting with the Q&A now.
4x4 is just one of those things that I use infrequently but when I need it I NEED it. I'm just really hesitant to have a 2wd dually and try to get around in a snow or on the farm...plus my driveway can be a little precarious. I've definitely considered just a good set of chains. For the record, this has to be the 1 and only truck; wife says I can't have this one and a 4x4.
If I did decide that 2x was okay and just wanted a little more speed, where can I find a new set of gears for that rearend?
