I have a 49 with a 261 engine which has it's original water pump {shortened shaft}. The hoses that I used are CARQUEST #21342 for upper, CARQUEST #21615 for lower, and CARQUEST #28474 for bypass hose. IIRC I did have to cut them to fit. Hope this helps. Dave V
