What I have always called the pumkin is the cast iron center of the rear end that the two axle tubes come out of. but some people and I'm guessing this guy means the differential inside the rear end.the easiest way is to just swap out the entire rear end with a good one having the gearing you want. if you want your original rear end then its a gear swap.hope it helps
