I need to clean alot of sludge and dirt off the engine to get the numbers, but it isn't a 261. I checked and there aren't any captains bars on it. Darn! At least its a a high pressure engine, which was my bigger concern.
Does it matter whether its 55 or 54? I'm starting to think I've actually got a 53 6400 body on a 54 6100 chassis/drivetrain. The body has a 1953 6400 VIN and emblems, but the wheelbase is the shorter 6100 137" setup and the frame hasn't been shortened. It's just a theory at this point. is there a VIN on the frame somewhere to verify?
