I have a 47 AD 3800 with a 216 engine code AFCA685099 which i believe is a 1948 block. The engine came with a distributor no. 1112353. The truck starts and runs on an engine stand.

I have another 216 from a 47 AD 3800 with a distributor no. 1110090 . The engine code for this engine is ECM 25IO43

I believe this engine is older, and comes from a truck whose serial number is 2 ES A 3002 Made in NY. I think this truck is an earlier 47 as it came with the 4 speed with the lever to get you into reverse.

My question: Is the 1112353 a proper distributor in the 48 coded motor ?

I'm putting the motor back together and would like to make sure I have the correct series distributor. The 1112353 utilizes a different point set but i assume the same condenser. I plan to run a 6V system when I get it all back together. Thanks - Joe
