I posted this earlier in the year and never followed up on the problem. The previous post gave me a link that is no longer active.
I have a '55 1st series. Installed a 1962 261 engine with a 1985 5 speed transmission. The speedometer and cable are stock '55 1st series. The speedometer reads 35 MPH when actual speed is about 50 MPH. I heard there is an adapter that attaches to the transmission to give correct. Looking for input on where to buy a conversion part.
