Check out stealth tailgate latches. Cpp sells them among various vendors. I think Scotts in red deer has them too. Hot rod has an article about them. Google it and it should be near the top.
When I do some serious driving (in the future as I'm not done yet) I think I'm going to just bolt mine shut. Mind you I'm going for the stocker look and do like the chains... But only when the truck is completely still!
