| | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 20 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 20 | I bought a 235 that was supposed to be from a 57 car and had been rebuilt. I wanted an engine with hydraulic lifters to cut down on valve noise. The engine does look to have been rebuilt, but it has a code of F55Z which tells me it's from a 55 car and not hydraulic lifters. The rebuilder installed hydraulics, but the seller says he didn't use the engine because he didn't like the valve noise (quite understandable). Is there any way to make hydraulic lifters work properly in a non hydraulic engine? | | |
