The one on the left is drilled and tabbed properly for the parking brake. The one with the big rubber piece on it is drilled for the defrost cable (quite a bit of difference in the mounting holes). I did nothing to the holes, they are original. I assume that smaller parking brake bracket will have a rubber piece mounted in front of it like the 53 has (very small rubber washer). My project for this purpose is 1950.

Could it be that the rubber one is for the "Warmer" bracket? I can see that making more sense. Then I am missing the proper defrost cable bracket. The holes are not the same between parking brake and defrost on the dash.
