I've searched this topic and found some good info but not exactly what I'm looking for. I have an Offenhauser intake that was given to me and I'd like to find a small 4 bbl carb to put on my 292. I've read the recommendations in many posts but I don't want to spend the money for a new carb and I don't know if any of the recommended carbs are used on production vehicles. My questions is: Is there a carb that would be good for a driver 292 that I can find in a salvage yard? If so, what types of engines should I look for? I don't plan to make any other major modifications, maybe some day I'll get cast iron headers but no lumpy cam or propane pistons or anything like that. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
