Hy Idfain, I think you have left out a bit of information about wire colours. The original generator wiring can be used to wire the new alternator, you just have to remove it from the generator voltage regulator and either splice it together in the case of the red output 12ga. or continue the field wire to wherever the alternators instructions say to attach it, hope that helps.
