For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 15 | I have a 1961 c 10 purchased from original owner. Bought several systems to upgrade the wiring. Anyway when installing the alternator instructions said to open the wire loom in the engine bay, and run the supplied red 12 ga. wire from alternator to 12 ga. wire in loom. That went well. Next take the 20 ga. wire supplied and run from alternator to and tie in to the 20 ga. wire in the loom. I know the wire loom is original to the truck but my loom has a 20 ga. wire in stead of brown. Checked the service manual and it shows brown. Has anyone seen this before? sorry for the length. | | |
