For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | The king pins on these must be thouroly greased. If a fitting wont take grease remove the fitting & dig out the hole with an ice pick & solvent spray. Put in a new fitting & put high pressure grease to it while turning the wheels back & forth. When each fitting takes grease move the wheels back & forth & shoot them again. If you cant get grease through you will need to replace the kingpin & bushings. You will be amazed how much better the truck drives. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
