I have got my father's old 64 chev c10 at the body shop now. Finally got the guy to fix the
the rusty crack near the passenger door under the door slid about 4 inches.

At first he thought he just cut and patch weld. But now i have been told the area is weak so they
are going to fiberglass it.

Started the restoring over a year ago. It was fall and going to start to rain so and another season
in the rainy weather would have nothing but rust...so i put it in the body shop. Over the year they
kept it inside and now the paint and body work is completed.

As i said they are now fixing the rusted floor crack. What remains is to go through it mechanically...
check brakes...clutch chatters in first gear...may need new clutch.

The truck runs pretty good with the original 292 engine even though it has over a 100k miles on it or
more.

However back to the main question or issue what do you think about fiberglassing the rusted area of
the floor...an area about 4x6 inches.
