I wanted to have an automatic and I ran across a automatic frame with the right cross member for the trans. I don't know which motor was on that truck because there was just a frame that had been restored. But if you are saying that the perches are the same with the 6 and the v8 then everything should be fine. I bought the mounts for the 283 and everything went together great. So the motor may not be too low I just need to put the radiator in and it should be fine. ????
