I bought a aluminum radiator and was putting it in my C10 1966. I converted from a straight 6 to a 283 using the same perches that were use for the 6. Was that the correct thing to do or is there a different perch I need to get? It seems like the 283 is a little low. The fan will be close the the transmission lines and the radiator hose.
